U.S. Ad Market Roars Into 2018

The total U.S. advertising market grew by 10.8% in January 2018, compared to January 2017. This was driven by significant gains in National Television and Digital platforms, data released Friday (2/23) by Standard Media Index show.


In January 2018, year-over-year advertising revenue in National TV grew 7.1%, with 11.1% growth in Cable and 2.7% in Broadcast.

Digital grew 16.8%, radio declined 6.1%, out-of-home (OOH) declined 2.1%, and print dropped 3%.
