OU Athletics has signed for another five years with Clear Channel Radio/Tulsa. Learfield Sports’ Sooner Sports Properties, OU’s media rights holder, and Clear Channel’s KMOD-FM, KTBZ-AM and KAKC-AM signed off on 6/23. KTBZ and KAKC are dubbed “The Buzz Sports Networks” locally.
KMOD-FM and KTBZ-AM will carry football, while KMOD-FM will carry select men’s basketball non-conference games and a conference “game of the week.” KTBZ-AM will air all men’s basketball games.
The deal also calls for a minimum of 10 women’s basketball games to be aired on KAKC-AM and/or KTBZ-AM and a minimum of 10 baseball games to be aired on KAKC-AM and/or KTBZ-AM. KTBZ-AM will carry the football and basketball coaches shows, Coach’s Corner Show and Sooner Sports Today.
