University picks up liquidated FM

KGDP-FM Visalia CA is off air and in trouble, but the cavalry is arriving in the form of the University of Southern California, which has a deal to pick up the station from Radio Representatives Inc. According to the contract, the station is in Chapter 7. According to brokers Greg Guy and Vince Pepper of Patrick Communications, who represented the seller, the price will be $800K. The buyer, which owns four other stations, will ask for a main studio waiver.
