The Univision Network, the only top five broadcast network to see primetime ratings growth, season-to-season, among Adults 18-49, today announced its fall line-up, including the return of the ever popular “¡Mira Quien Baila!” (Look Who’s Dancing!). In its second season on Sundays, “MQB” will air from 8 to 10 p.m. ET/PT starting on September 11, after a primetime special on September 1.  Weekends on Univision will continue to be the home of exciting variety and reality entertainment including the 50th anniversary celebration of “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) in 2012.

“To maintain our growth position and momentum, today Univision revealed a robust programming line-up that includes some of the best novelas in the world, from our partner Televisa; and the new season of ‘Mira Quien Baila’ one of the biggest reality hits on television,” said the company’s President of Entertainment and Univision Studios Luis Fernández. “This, along with an expanded five-hour morning block, speaks to our commitment to deliver the best content to Hispanic America during the 2011-2012 season.”

At the core of Univision’s primetime schedule will continue to be three hours of one of television’s hottest genres – novelas – airing Monday through Friday at 7, 8 and 9 p.m. ET/PT.  The new 2011-12 season will kick off with novela fans glued to their TVs as “Cuando Me Enamoro” (Timeless Love; 7 p.m.), “Teresa” (8 p.m.) and “La Fuerza del Destino” (The Power of Destiny; 9 p.m.) continue to heat up after premiering earlier this year. In fact, “La Fuerza del Destino” delivered a record performance in its fourth week on the air since its August 2 debut, with double-digit percentage growth versus its premiere week averages across all key demographics, including Adults 18-34 (+22%), Persons 12-34 (+21%), Adults 18-49 (+20%) and Total Viewers 2+ (+17%). It’s already delivering more Adult 18-49 viewers than some of the top-ranked novelas of all-time on Spanish-language television through their first 18 telecasts.

Univision Network will round out its fall weekday schedule by featuring a mix of new and returning, popular series in the 10 p.m. ET/PT hour. On Mondays, “Don Francisco Presenta…” (Don Francisco Presents) celebrates its 10th season with a new set and look beginning September 12. Award-wining investigative news magazine show “Aqui y Ahora” (Here and Now), hosted by Maria Elena Salinas and Teresa Rodriguez, returns for its 11th season on Tuesdays beginning September 13.

Airing each Saturday night from 8 to 11 p.m. ET/PT, “Sabado Gigante” is hosted by the legendary Don Francisco as it continues its world record run as the longest running variety show in television history.  On Sundays, “¡Mira Quien Baila!” returns from 8 to 10 p.m. ET/PT on September 11, with hosts Chiquinquirá Delgado and Javier Poza. The dance competition show features 10 celebrities doing their best to perform new routines each week.  Then at 10 p.m. ET/PT is the season two premiere of “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper), a weekly look at all things in the world of entertainment, hosted by Lourdes Stephen and Rodner Figueroa.

Also this fall on Univision are a number of primetime specials, including the 12th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards, which airs live from Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center on November 10 from 8 to 11 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT).  Additionally, Univision Network is revamping its popular morning line-up, and extending it to five hours each Monday through Friday: Hispanic America’s #1 morning show, “Despierta America
” (Wake Up America)  Live from Miami every weekday from 7 to 10:30 a.m. ET/PT, followed by Mexico’s #1 lifestyle magazine show “Hoy” (Today), from 10:30 a.m. to Noon.
