Univision Ices IPO

Univision Communications, Inc.Univision has stalled plans for an Initial Public Offering amid reported investor concerns over the future of television.

The Spanish-language broadcaster’s parent was set to go public around Labor Day, however after a board meeting to discuss the issue, news outlets reported the company may not file an IPO until 2016.

Many media companies have been facing investor jitters over cord-cutting as consumers cancel their pay-TV subscriptions; MoffettNathanson recently issued a report that says pay-TV providers lost just over 350,000 subs in the third quarter — a steady decline.
