Univision Radio debuts new lineup at Radio Mambi

UnivisionUnivision Radio announced that Radio Mambi WAQI-AM Miami is expanding its programming lineup. Oscar Haza will join from sister station in that market (WQBA-AM) with his morning show “Ahora con Oscar Haza” from 7:00 am – 9:00 am, followed by “En Caliente” from 9:00 am – 10:00 am, where Haza will join Spanish-language radio veterans Armando Pérez Roura and Ninoska Pérez Castellón.


The makeover dovetails with Univision Radio announcing the launch of its new AM radio network, “Univision America.” The network, which will include radio stations in nine markets across the country (including Miami), will feature local, national and international news, weather and traffic updates, as well as shows focused on the issues that matter most to Hispanics, including current events, health and family, finances, education, sports, and entertainment.

“Radio Mambí will further strengthen its programming and grow its talent line-up to continue to deliver excellent journalistic coverage of the topics and issues relevant to Hispanics in South Florida under the direction of Armando Pérez-Roura,” said Claudia Puig, SVP/eastern regional manager, Univision Radio. “Univision Radio’s priority is to serve our listeners and we recognize that our community is rapidly growing and evolving.”

Lourdes de Kendall, and her show “En Mi Opinion,” will continue in the morning line up of Radio Mambi, and in the afternoons the station welcomes Humberto Cortina with “Al Ritmo de Miami,” Ninoska Pérez Castellón will continue with her show with “A las 3 con Ninoska” and José Pepe Forte will bring his incomparable humor in “El Ático de Pepe,” sharing news on all things automotive, including reviews and interviews with industry experts.

The evening will continue with all of the latest sports, including the Florida Marlins, and sports news headlines delivered by sports journalist and commentator Armando Fernández Lima and “La Noche y Usted” with Martha Flores.

Marta Casañas will remain a host of her show “Música de Mi Tierra” on Sundays. Under the direction of Pérez Roura, Radio Mambi will also continue to offer his shows “Revista de Mediodía” and “La Mesa Redonda.”
