Univision scores #1 in two demos for the week

·         Univision was the #1 network during primetime last week among Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC (+17%), CBS (+23%), FOX (+3%), and NBC (+29%). This marks the second week this summer that Univision has ranked #1 among Adults 18-49.

·         Univision was also the #1 network during primetime last week among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC (+40%), CBS (+76%), FOX (+6%), and NBC (+66%).  For the 16th consecutive week, Univision has ranked as the #2 network or higher among Adults 18-34.

·         Univision held the #4 position among Total Viewers 2+, out-delivering FOX for the entire week.

·         Univision out-delivered two or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among Adults 18-34. Univision also out-delivered two or more of the English-language broadcast networks on six out of seven nights among Adults 18-49.

Based on the current 2011/2012 season to date, Univision has out-performed NBC during broadcast prime 73% of the time (254 out of 350 days) among Adults 18-34 and 51% of the time (178 out of 350 days) among Adults 18-49.

Additionally Univision has out-performed ABC on 134 nights, CBS on 114 nights, and FOX on 104 nights among Adults 18-49. Furthermore, among Adults 18-34, Univision has out-performed ABC on 229 nights, CBS on 262 nights, and FOX on 138 nights.

Moreover, Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks on every night last week among Total Viewers 2+.

·         Univision kicked off the week on Monday as the #2 network among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC, CBS, and NBC in both demographics.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Univision also out-delivered ABC and NBC for the night among Total Viewers 2+, finishing the night as the #3 network.

On Tuesday night Univision maintained its rank among Adults 18-34 (#2) and ranked as the #3 network among Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC and CBS in both demographics for the second consecutive night. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 6 programs for Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 demographics. Univision also held the #4 network position among Total Viewers 2+, beating ABC.

On Wednesday night Univision ranked as the #1 network among Adults 18-49 and for the third consecutive Wednesday, Univision was #1 network among Adults 18-34.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 5 programs for Adults 18-34 and top 10 programs for Adults 18-49.

·         On Thursday, Univision finished the night as the #1 network among Adults 18-34 and was #2 among Adults 18-49 for the second consecutive week. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 5 programs for Adults 18-34 and top 10 programs for Adults 18-49.

·         On Friday night Univision retained the #1 spot among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked as the top 3 programs for Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 demographics. Univision also clenched the #3 rank among Total Viewers 2+ on Friday night.

·         Airing “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) Univision finished the night as the #3 network among Adults 18-34 and ranked #4 among Adults 18-49. “Sabado Gigante” averaged 1.9 Million Total Viewers 2+, 734,000 Adults 18-49, and 317,000 Adults 18-34. “Sabado Gigante” also ranked among the top 10 programs among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, and Adults 18-34.

·         On Sunday night Univision ranked as the #1 network among Adults 18-49 and ranked as the #2 network among Adults 18-34.

At 7 p.m., Univision aired the finale of its talent competition, “Pequeños Gigantes 2”.  The finale ranked as the #5 program for the night among Adults 18-34 and averaged 3.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.4 Million Adults 18-49, and 716,000 Adults 18-34. “Pequeños Gigantes 2” helped Univision rank as the #1 network for the week among Kids 2-11 and Teens 12-17.

At 8 p.m., Univision’s novela “Por Ella Soy Eva” (For Her, I’m Eva) helped Univision rank as the #1 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #2 among Adults 18-49.  “Por Ella Soy Eva” delivered its highest weekly average since premiere week among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49. The novela built its audience from the prior week and averaged 3.6 Million Total Viewers 2+ (+6%), 1.9 Million Adults 18-49 (+8%), and 963,000 Adults 18-34.

Univision’s 9 p.m. novela “Abismo de Pasion” (Abyss of Passion) helped Univision rank as the #1 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #2 among Adults 18-49.  “Abismo de Pasion” also delivered its highest weekly average since premiere week among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49. “Abismo de Pasion” posted audience increases versus the previous week among Total Viewers 2+ (4.3 Million, +3%), Adults 18-49 (2.2 Million, +9), and delivered 1 Million Adults 18-34 viewers.

In its third week, Univision’s 10 p.m. novela “Amor Bravio” (Fierce Love) helped Univision rank as the #1 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. “Amor Bravio” averaged 3.5 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.8 Million Adults 18-49, and 869,000 Adults 18-34.
