Stock prices were all over the place on Friday. The government reported that GDP growth was a bit less than previously reported for Q1, but still it was the third straight quarter of expansion as the nation slowly pulls out of the recession. Bank stocks rose as Congress agreed on a financial regulation package and removed uncertainty. At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down nine points, or 0.1%, at 10,144. Bank stocks gave the S&P 500 a boost, however, and the Nasdaq Composite was also up. Broadcasting stocks were also mixed.
The RBR Radio Index was down 5.625, or 1.6%, at 339.841.
The TVBR Television Index was up 1.228, or 0.6%, at 199.592.
