U.S. financial markets were divergent on Friday, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average improved 119.19 points, to 24,580.89. However, Nasdaq was down 20.14, to 7692.82.
The mixed activity carried over to media issues.
Viacom’s Class B shares were off 12 cents, to $30.28.
Townsquare Media dipped 5 cents, to $6.25.
Also dipping on Friday: Beasley Broadcast Group, slipping 55 cents to $11.35.
On the plus side was Entercom, which many market observers say is in comeback mode. With a 5-cent gain on Friday, ETM shares are now $7.80.
Meanwhile, the healthy growth in CBS Corp. shares continues. With Friday’s Closing Bell, CBS shares are valued at $56.73, thanks to a 33-cent gain.
