Urban One, iHeart Launch Black Financial-Focus Initiatives


With African American consumers in the brightest spotlight it has seen in decades, a reaction to social justice initiatives fueled by the murders of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, marketers more than ever are fueling diversity and inclusion initiatives while seeking to offer creative that properly resonates with this key consumer group.

These themes permeated much of the first of three days of sessions at the virtual ANA Masters of Marketing Conference, which began Wednesday (10/21). Now, Urban One and iHeartMedia are each introducing efforts designed to ignite African American businesses, and give Black consumers a little more credit.
