Urban One’s Two Big Issues: Political Dollars and Mickey D’s

Here’s another Q4 earnings report from a media company that could perhaps adopt the hashtag #BlamePolitics for its net revenue finish.


But, there’s another issue at play for Urban One, the African American-focused media company that owns radio stations, the Reach Media national radio arm, and the TV One cable TV channel.

They may also want to adopt the hashtag #BlackMouthsMatter, and schedule some C-Suite meetings with McDonald’s executives.

Urban One’s Q1 2018 will be partially blamed on the Big Mac’s diminshed ad attack.

Furthermore, politics played a big role in its Q4 net income — in a good way.
