The new 8th season of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” will not begin next week on NBC Universal’s USA Network after all. Instead of bowing on November 7th, the first episode has been delayed until after the New Year begins. The cable net says it wants to be able to run all 16 episodes consecutively without reruns. Jeff Goldblum will succeed Chris Noth in the new season for the crime series.
