Veritone Media shares soared by nearly 50% on very heavy volume of 1 million shares in Monday’s trading.
The rebound for the company’s stock comes following a Friday report at Barrons.com that notes artificial intelligence — the key focus of Veritone’s efforts — is getting a lot smarter.
Meanwhile, Saga Communications enjoyed a positive start to the trading week, with shares climbing 2.3%, to $40.55.
Also up: iHeartMedia, which saw a 2.3% gain of its own, to $1.80.
On the flip side, Cumulus Media saw its shares slump 6.7%, to 42 cents.
