The Univision Network says Verizon Wireless will be a key integrated sponsor of its new variety game show “El Gran Show” (The Big Show). The show airs on Univision Sundays at 8pm ET/PT, 7pm with the first being 12/5. It’s hosted by popular actor and comedian Jaime Camil and Carla Medina, the young TV personality, as co-host.
“With ‘El Gran Show,’ the latest production from Univision’s powerful Sunday night franchise, our partners have a unique platform to connect with Hispanic American families across the country,” said David Lawenda, Univision Comm. president of Ad Sales and Marketing.
The game board of “El Gran Show’s” set will mirror the design of a Verizon Wireless phone, including lighting, animation and sound, giving the appearance of a giant phone. In addition to significant branding on set, Verizon will sponsor weekly challenges where the five contestants of the show will use various apps and Droid handsets to aid them in winning the games. Viewers will also be able to interact via their mobile handsets during each show.
Univision.com’s coverage of “El Gran Show” is available at http://entretenimiento.univision.com/el-gran-show/. Fans will have online and mobile access to the latest news, participant photos, and images of the show’s various personalities including co-host Medina. Moreover, the site will feature a special section profiling show host Camil with online video interviews, exclusive show footage and contestant video profiles.
