Viacom and ESPN slammed for EAS abuse

Viacom-logoThe embedded emergency alert signal that was sent out over Viacom and ESPN pipes was a movie trailer produced by a third party. But that doesn’t let the two cable programmers off the hook as far as the FCC is concerned.


The Commission is levying hefty fines against the duo, hitting Viacom the hardest by far.
