President Barack Obama and a diverse group of 250 young Americans will spend a commercial-free hour together on 10/14/10 in a forum called “A Conversation with President Obama.” The program is being produced by MTV News and BET News.

Six Viacom properties will carry the event, which is scheduled for 4PM Eastern, including BET, CENTRIC, CMT, MTV, mtvU and Tr3s. MTV’s Sway Calloway, BET’s April Woodard and CMT’s Katie Cook will share hosting duties. It will also be available for streaming at BET.com, CMT.com and MTV.com.

Obama will take questions from members of the audience, and also answer questions submitted by viewers via Twitter.

Viacom President and CEO Philippe Dauman said, “Our brands reach and connect with the broadest swath of young people in the U.S. because we understand their interests, their passions and their concerns. We know that America’s youth hold strong views about the challenges our country faces as well as their own aspirations for the future. We are honored that the President has chosen to appear on our cable networks to continue his dialogue with the nation’s young people.”
