It has 19 watts of power from 2,021 feet, and serves Williamsport and Montoursville, Pa.

Soon, it will be the latest FM translator station owned by a licensee controlled by Vic Michael Jr.

Michael’s Mountain Community Translators is agreeing to purchase W271BP in Williamsport.

He’s acquiring the property from Montrose Broadcasting Corp., led by James Baker.

With A. Wray Fitch of Gammon & Grange serving as the seller’s legal counsel, W271BP is being spun for $125,000.

A 50% deposit has been paid to Montrose by Michael.

It’s a safe bet that the translator will continue airing non-secular programming. Montrose is the licensee of WPEL Radio, and MCT has a history of offering Christian-themed music and spoken word shows on its FM translators.
