Vice President Joe Biden heading to “The Daily Show”

Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” is hardly a new venue for Joe Biden. He’s appeared as a guest five times – but before never as sitting Vice President of the United States.

Biden is scheduled to appear on the show airing Tuesday, November 17 at 11:00 pm (ET/PT). It is not only Biden’s first appearance since being elected VP, but also the first time a sitting Vice President has appeared on “The Daily Show.” Amazingly, Dick Cheney never visited the show to demonstrate his comedic side.

Biden’s last appearance on The Daily Show was on August 8, 2007, while he was a candidate for the 2008 Democratic nomination for president. (He lost to some guy named Obama.) Among his other previous appearances, he was also a guest on the show the day he officially announced that he was seeking the Democratic nomination, January 31, 2007.
