A top provider of OTT streaming media tools for media companies has just been snapped up by advanced video encoding and streaming tech firm VITEC.
The acquisition means this company’s founder and CEO is coming on board at VITEC, as VP of Worldwide Broadcast Sales.
It’s a shift that is being welcomed by Kevin Ancelin, founder and CEO of T-21 Technologies, who signed off on the deal and is relinquishing his executive role.
Mark D’Addio, an SVP at VITEC, says the purchase of T-21 brings Ancelin’s 32-year industry experience and knowledge to a company seeking to expand its product and strategy focus on the broadcast market. “His expertise in product and market development will expedite our new product roadmap and sales efforts for leading broadcasters worldwide,” D’Addio says.
Ancelin added, “I look forward to this new chapter and challenge in my career. VITEC’s technology and dedication to the IP video market is unmatched. As we develop our next generation of products and marketing, with a focus on broadcast applications, GEN2+ will further transform the contribution market.”
