Bruce Danziger filed to acquire $11M worth of Clear Channel New England radio holdings back in January, getting five stations in the Burlington VT-Plattsburgh NY market and two more in the Lebanon NH-Rutland-White River Junction VT market. It turns out that the latter two are going to keep on going, straight into the portfolio of Jeffrey Shapiro’s Great Eastern Radio. Shapiro will get WTSJ-AM and WCVR-FM, both licensed to Randolph VT, for $750K cash. Recent changes in the Arbitron/BIA market census have paved the way for this pair to limbo under the local ownership caps. It will join a cluster with WTSL-AM/WGXL-FM Hanover NH, WXXK-FM Lebanon NH and WMXR-FM Woodstock NH. Also in the Great Eastern portfolio but no longer considered part of the market are WEEY-FM Swanzey NH and WKKN-FM Westminster NH.
