In April, W Radio 690 AM – “La voz del pueblo” continues to support new social causes.  This time, Grupo Latino de Radio’s station in Southern California is looking to help people affected by autism disorders and their families.

W Radio has joined forces with several organizations such as Autism Speaks. Together we will provide information to our listeners live in our shows about the disorder and the various programs that exist to help our community, and we will bring advice from experts.

The station will also support a number of events related to the cause, such as the Walk Now for Autism Speaks, the nation’s largest grass roots autism walk program. It is a fundraising and awareness event, taking place in communities across the United States. The Los Angeles Walk will be on 4/24 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Powered by volunteers and families with loved ones on the autism spectrum, this successful grass roots fundraising effort not only generates vital funds for autism research and advocacy but also raises awareness about the increasing prevalence of autism and the need for increased research funding and vital services to combat this complex disorder.

W Radio 690 AM has proven its interest in our community and has supported other social causes in previous months, such as diabetes, HIV, replanting trees in the city or helping unemployed people find a job. W Radio – “La voz del pueblo” always looks to help improve our lives and our environment.
