When the analysts have gotten gloomy this year, consumers have showed up with a smile on their face and a heaping helping of confidence to bestow on Wall Street. So just when Wall Street and analysts are finally shedding their gloom, consumers go south, taking the stock market and most broadcast issues with them. Go figure.

The TVBR Television Index fell 4.568, or 4.1%, to 106.336.
