On the first trading day after Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced yet another medical leave the stock of his company was down, but other stocks rose as a report by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York showed a rise in new manufacturing orders. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 51 points, or 0.4%, to 11,838. Broadcasting stocks had a mixed day.
The RBR Radio Index was up 1.181, or 0.3%, to 374.541.
The TVBR Television Index was down 1.797, or 0.8%, to 221.496.
