Wall Street Recovery Includes Cumulus, CBS

U.S. financial markets saw a strong rebound from last week’s steep sell-off, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average improved by nearly 1% and Nasdaq saw a 1.4% improvement.


What about media stocks?

Cumulus Media and CBS Corp., among other companies, were up.

For the radio broadcasting company, a 49-cent improvement to $15.70 was seen.

At CBS, a 42-cent gain to $44.22 helped put shares back on track.

What about Viacom’s Class B shares? A 21-cent advancement was seen, to $26.23.

Other gains include TEGNA, up 86 cents to $15.86 as investors continue to react positively to news that Apollo Global Management has been considering an acquisition of the company formerly known as Gannett.

Meanwhile, Nexstar surged $1.88 to $95.90 on lower than average volume.
