The Federal Reserve decided to expand its scrutiny of banks, the foreign trade numbers from China were a downer and there was new battling over how to deal with Greece’s national debt. In all, Friday was not an upbeat day for economic news, so stock prices took a tumble. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 172 points, or 1.4%, at 11,952.
The RBR Radio Index was down 7.608, or 2.2%, to 339.985.
The TVBR Television Index was down 6.328, or 2.6%, to 240.169.
