News that manufacturing picked up on the other side of the world buoyed stock trading in Europe and the US, according to reports – and although volume was modest, there were said to be about twice as many gainers as losers. Broadcasters were mostly among the black-ink crowd.
The RBR Radio Index rose 1.202, or 0.5%, to 264.241.
The TVBR Television Index rose 2.601, or 1.4%, to 192.328.
