Here’s the next effort to promote Walmart steaks—after the current campaign which features unsuspecting diners in fine restaurants: “Tonight, you’re eating Walmart steak!” Fox and Shine America announced Walmart is an official sponsor of Masterchef’s third season. The partnership will be featured in three challenges this season, the first of which aired 6/26 (9:00-10:00 PM ET).  The on-air integrations will highlight Walmart’s premium selection and wide assortment of top quality USDA Choice steaks, available in stores nationwide.

In the episode, the Top 13 amateur cooks compete in a mystery box challenge featuring Walmart’s USDA Choice T-Bone steaks and a variety of fresh produce and spices, all of which cost less than $15 total. In this challenge, the first of three on-air integrations, judges Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot will award the contestant who cooks the most imaginative and well-executed dish with a significant advantage in the next round.

Later this season, in the other Walmart on-air integrations, the remaining contestants will visit a rodeo and work in teams to prepare an outstanding steak meal for 101 hungry cowboys. Finally, in an intense pressure test, the amateur cooks facing elimination will create three steak dishes using Walmart USDA Choice steaks.

In addition, Walmart will sponsor and be featured in exclusive content that can be seen on www.fox.com/MasterChef, as well as Walmart’s YouTube channel; official Facebook page, www.facebook.com/walmart; and Twitter page, www.twitter.com/walmart.
