On Monday, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai immediately responded to media reports that the Federal government was considering the construction and operation of a nationwide 5G network for cellular communications.


He’s vehemently opposed to any proposal involving D.C., as are GOP Commissioners Brendan Carr and Michael O’Rielly. So are both Democratic Commissioners, and a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute who focuses on the impact of technology on the U.S. economy, telecommunications, and internet regulation.
