Various public interest groups are using radio and television to ask voters who their Washington delegates listen to – them, or Rush Limbaugh? Senators in OH, NV and PA are targets of the latest campaign, coming from Americans United for Change, who will be going after, respectively, George Voinovich (R-OH), John Ensign (R-NV) and Arlen Specter (R-PA). According to Capitol Hill pub Politico, other campaigns from AUC and others, aimed more at drumming up support for the Obama economic stimulus plan, have been launched in ME, NH, AK, IA, KY, NV & TN.
RBR/TVBR observation: You have to give Limbaugh credit. Broadcast talents are expected to benefit their home and affiliated stations, but how many other personalities have the kind of profile that can draw cash into the industry in general like this?
