Legendary WDAS FM Philadelphia personality Joseph “Butter” Tamburro is/was back in time to help the Delaware Valley celebrate the Fourth of July weekend. Friday 7/2 “Butter” kicks off the party with mixer Andre “The Giant” at Temptations Banquet Facility from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. On Saturday “Butter” moves the party to Wilmington, DE with The WDAS Family at Brandywine River Ballroom where he airs live from 7:00 PM to Midnight. Sunday it’s the return of Butter’s Sunday Night Oldies at Pinnacle Nightclub where Butter broadcasts from 7:00 PM to Midnight.
On Sunday Butter fans catch up with the radio legend when Philadelphia NAACP President J. Whyatt Mondesire and host of WDAS’s Freedom Quest interviews him from 7:00-8:00 AM.
Joseph “Butter” Tamburro is celebrating 47 years of broadcasting at the Philadelphia’s Heritage WDAS. Butter was also an integral player in Philadelphia’s Civil Rights Movement where he hosted fundraising concerts for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
