American Idol did Milwaukee or maybe Milwaukee did in Idol with the cast of characters.


FOX won last night across the board with a two-hour AMERICAN IDOL, dominating the combined 4-net competition by +53% among Adults 18-49 and +15% in Total Viewers:

AMERICAN IDOL posted a 9.2/24 among Adults 18-49, up +18% versus last Thursday — IDOL’s most growth ever for night three vs. night two. In addition, IDOL was up +10% in Total Viewers (25.2 vs. 22.9 Mil) from last Thursday.

Last night’s IDOL achieved the show’s highest week two vs. week one retention (third telecast vs. season premiere) among Adults 18-49 (95%) and in Total Viewers (96%) since Season Five.
By comparison, last year’s third telecast dropped -14% in the demo and -12% in total viewers from the premiere

FOX’s AMERICAN IDOL dominated the next highest rated program of the night, CBS’ Criminal Minds by +188% among Adults 18-49 (9.2 vs. 3.2), and +95% in Total Viewers (25.2 vs. 12.9 Mil).

Competition
Following repeats of The Middle (2.0/6 and 2.1/6) and Modern Family (2.6/7), ABC’s Cougar Town (2.1/5) posted its lowest original rating of the season, down -13% from last week. At 10p, week three of Off the Map (1.8/5) was down -14% and delivered its lowest performance to date.

CBS aired new episodes of Live to Dance (1.1/3, up +10%), Criminal Minds (3.2/8, up +10%), and Blue Bloods (2.0/6, flat).

At 8p, NBC’s Minute to Win It (1.4/4, down -13%) matched an original series low. An original Chase (1.2/3, p +20%) and repeat Law & Order: SVU (1.7/5) followed at 9p and 10p, respectively.
