Univision Finished the Week as the #4 network among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, Out-delivering FOX in both Demographics


Univision was the #2 Network on Six out of Seven Nights Last Week among Adults 18-34

Univision finished the week as the #4 network among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, out-delivering FOX by (+1%) and (+28%) respectively.

Univision out-delivered three of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34.  Univision also out-delivered two of the English-Language broadcast networks on five out of seven nights among Adults 18-49. 

Versus the comparable week a year ago, Univision’s  primetime audience increased +10% among Adults 18-49 while ABC -3%, NBC -18%, and FOX -51% reported declines.  Univision’s audience also increased among Total Viewers 2+ (+4%) and Adults 18-34 (+13%) versus the same week a year ago.

Led by “Familia Con Suerte”, Univision ranked as the #3 broadcast network for the week from 8PM to 9PM among Adults 18-34.  The 8PM novela also delivered its highest Total Viewer 2+ audience to date, averaging 4.2 Million viewers this past week.

On Monday night Univision aired the premiere of its newest novela “La Que No Podia Amar” (“The One I Couldn’t Love”).  Starring Ana Brenda Contreras and Jorge Salinas as the main protagonists, the 9PM novela ranked among the top 10 programs for the night among Adults 18-49 and was the 4th highest ranked program among Adults 18-34. 

During its first week, “La Que No Podia Amar” averaged 4.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.4 million Adults 18-49, and 1.4 million Adults 18-34, with more viewers than the first five telecasts of its 9pm predecessor, “La Fuerza del Destino.”

In fact, more Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 than 4 out of the Top 5 novelas of all-time (based on A18-49 ranking) that include “Amor Real,” “Soy Tu Dueña,” “Destilando Amor” and “Rubi” first five airings.

Univision’s most-watched primetime program last week (BASED ON M-F), also ranked as the 7th highest rated program watched by all Adult 18-34 viewers.

On Sunday night Univision’s reality series “Gran Show Los Peques” (“The Big Show of the Small”) increased its audience by double digit margins compared to premiere week. Attracting 4.1 Million Total Viewers 2+ (+18%), 2 Million Adults 18-49 (+22%), and 1.1 Million Adults 18-34 viewers (+10%) “Gran Show Los Peques” was among the top 15 programs for the night in those demographics. 

Following “Gran Show Los Peques” at 10PM, “Sal y Pimienta” also increased its audience versus the previous week among Total Viewers 2+ (2.7 Million, +5%) and Adults 18-49 (1.2 Million, +6%).
