TeleFutura Was The #2 Spanish-language Network, Beating Telemundo, During Broadcast Prime Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.


TeleFutura Highlights – NPM Broadcast Prime Week of 02/07/1:
 
•     TeleFutura was the #2 Spanish-language network, beating Telemundo for the entire week among Total Viewers 2+ (TF 1,264,000 vs. TEL 964,000; +31% Adv.), Adults 18-49 (TF 758,000 vs. TEL 562,000; +35% Adv.) and among Adults 18-34 (TF 462,000 vs. TEL 337,000; +37% Adv.) during broadcast prime.
 
•      Last week marked the 6th and 7th consecutive time in the current 2010/2011 Season that TeleFutura beat Telemundo for an entire week during broadcast prime among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, respectively.  It was the 5th consecutive time among Total Viewers 2+.
 
•     It was also TeleFutura’s highest-rated weekly performance among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 during broadcast prime in the 2010/2011 Season thus far.
 
•      Compared to the same week a year ago (02/08/2010-02/14/2010), TeleFutura registered impressive audience gains in broadcast prime among Total Viewers 2+ (+13%), Adults 18-49 (+24%) and Adults 18-34 (+31%).
 
•      Key contributing factors to TeleFutura’s successful week was the network’s broadcast of the Mexican National Team’s 2011 Season kick-off match versus Bosnia on Wednesday night, 10pm novela “India,” back-to-back “Fútbol Liga Mexicana” games on Saturday night and its feature film line-up on Sunday night which included “Dinosaurio” and “Apocalipisis.” Apocalipsis is currently the network’s highest-ranked feature film telecast thus far in the 2010/2011 Season among all key demographics, including Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
 
•      On Wednesday night (02/09/2011), TeleFutura scored an impressive primetime victory with the highly anticipated Mexican National Team 2011 Season kick-off called “Partido Amistoso” which generated 2.6 million viewers 2+, 1.7 million Adults 18-49 and 1.1 million Adults 18-34, was the network’s most-watched telecast season-to-date and the second most-watched sports telecast season-to-date on Spanish-language television behind Univision’s Mexico vs. Venezuela match (aired 10/12/10), ranked among TeleFutura’s Top 10 Soccer telecasts of all-time by the network among several demos, including Total Viewers 2+ (#6), Adults 18-49 (#6), Adults 18-34 (#4), Men 18-49 (#7) and Men1 8-34 (#5) and made TeleFutura the #2 Network among Men 18-34 behind only FOX during broadcast primetime on this night.
 
•      TeleFutura’s Monday to Friday 10pm blockbuster novela, “India,” delivered its second highest weekly performance among Total Viewers 2+ (1.1 million), Adults 18-49 (611,000) and Adults 18-34 (336,000).
 
•      In the current 2010/2011 Season, TeleFutura continues to produce more nightly wins over Telemundo during broadcast prime versus the same period in the 2009/10 Season among Adults 18-49 (56 nights vs. 38 nights) and Adults 18-34 (56 nights vs. 45 nights).
 
•      TeleFutura out-performed Telemundo on both Saturday and Sunday by impressive margins.  On average across both nights, Total Viewers 2+ (TF 1,157,000 vs. TEL 783,000; +48% Adv.), Adults 18-49 (TF 676,000 vs. TEL 503,000; +34% Adv.) and Adults 18-34 (TF 437,000 vs. TEL 336,000; +30% Adv.).
 
ü   On Saturday night (February 12, 2011) from 8pm-11pm, TeleFutura’s “Fùtbol Liga Mexicana: Pachuca vs. Puebla” and “Fùtbol Liga Mexicana: Atlas vs. Santos,” generated more Total Viewers 2+ (TF 503,000 vs. TEL 482,000; +4% Adv.) , Adults 18-49 (TF 339,000 vs. TEL 301,000; +13% Adv.) and Adults 18-34 (TF 219,000 vs. TEL 199,000; +10% Adv.) than Telemundo’s “Fùtbol Estelar: Tigres vs. Cruz Azul” and “Persiguiendo Injusticias” combined average.
 
ü   On Sunday night (February 13, 2011) from 7pm-11pm, TeleFutura’s primetime line-up that included  “Cine de las Estrellas: Dinosaurio” and “Cine de las Estrellas Sun 2: Apocalipsis” significantly out-performed Telemundo’s  prime time programming which included “Cine Millonario: Death Race” and “Cine Millonario II: 300” among Total Viewers 2+ (TF 1,648,000 vs. TEL 1,008,000; +63% Adv.), Adults 18-49 (TF 929,000 vs. TEL 655,000; +42% Adv.) and Adults 18-34 (TF 600,000 vs. TEL 438,000; +37% Adv.).
 
•     TeleFutura’s strong performance this week positioned the network as the #2 Spanish-language Network  in the first 9 days of the February 2011 Sweeps among  Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
