Univision Ranks as the #2 Broadcast Network in Overall Primetime Among ALL Adults 18-34, Beating ABC, CBS and NBC.


Univision Highlights – NPM Broadcast Prime Week of 02/14/11:

Univision closed out the week as the #2 broadcast network in overall primetime among Adults 18-34 (1.1 million) and Kids 2-11 (487,000), out-performing ABC, CBS and NBC.  Additionally, Univision ranked #4 among Teens 12-17(208,000) and #5 among Total Viewers 2+ (3.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.9 million).

 Last week, Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX on 6 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens 12-17; and on 2 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49.

 For the week, Univision had 5 of the Top 30 primetime programs on broadcast television among Adults 18-34.

 Twenty-two weeks into the current season, Univision continues to be the broadcast network with the highest primetime audience increases versus the comparable period last season among Adults 18-49 (+6%), Adults 18-34 (+5%) and Adults 25-54 (+6%).

 On Friday night, Univision averaged 1.1 million Adults 18-34 and 245,000 Teens 12-17, making it the #1 broadcast network.  Univision also finished as the #3 ranked broadcast network among Adults 18-49 (2.0 million) and out-delivered FOX to attain the #4 position among Total Viewers 2+ (4.0 million).

 Univision’s Friday night episode of “Eva Luna” was the most-watched program, regardless of language, among Adults 18-49 (2.4 million) and Adults 18-34 (1.4 million).  Additionally, “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love) was the #2 most-watched program among Adults 18-34 (1.1 million) for the night.

 Thursday night’s live broadcast of the 23rd Annual “Premio Lo Nuestro” Awards on Univision attracted 5.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 3.1 million Adults 18-49, 1.8 million Adults 18-34 and 2.2 million Persons 12-34.

 Univision was the #2 Network, behind FOX, for the night among Adults 18-34 (1.8 million). 

 For the night, Univision was the fourth most-watch network among Total Viewers 2+ (5.5 million) and Adults 18-49 (3.1 million), out-delivering its closest competitor, NBC on this night, by +32% and +14%, respectively.

 “Premio Lo Nuestro” delivered more Adults 18-49 than Thursday night’s first-run episodes of ABC’s “Wipeout;” NBC’s “Community,” “Perfect Couples,” “Parks and Recreation,” “30 Rock” and “Outsourced”.

 For the week, “Premio Lo Nuestro” was one of the Top 15 primetime programs on broadcast television among Adults 18-34.

“Eva Luna” broke record last week achieving its highest weekly performance across all the key demographics including Total Viewers 2+ (5.0 million), Persons 12-34 (1.8 million), Adults 18-34 (1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (2.6 million), Men 18-49 (1.1 million) and Women 18-49 (1.5 million).

On Saturday night, “Sábado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the #2 broadcast network, behind FOX, among Adults 18-34 (633,000) and ranked #3 among Teens 12-17 (96,000); beating FOX and CBS.
