Week 24: Univision has solid week in 18-34 demo

Univision finished the week as the #2 broadcast network, behind FOX, in overall primetime among Adults 18-34 (1.1 million) and Kids 2-11 (502,000).  Additionally, Univision ranked #4 among Teens 12-17(210,000) and #5 among Total Viewers 2+ (3.8 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.9 million).


 Last week, Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX on 6 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-34 and Teens 12-17, on 5 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49 and on 3 out of 7 nights among Total Viewers 2+.

 For the week, Univision had 5 of the Top 30 primetime programs on broadcast television among Adults 18-34.

 Twenty-four weeks into the 2010-11 Season, Univision continues to be the broadcast network with the highest primetime audience increases versus the comparable period last season among Adults 18-49 (+6%) and Adults 18-34 (+5%).

 Univision was the most-watched broadcast network on Friday night among Adults 18-49 (2.2 million), Adults 18-34 (1.3 million) and Teens 12-17 (265,000).  On Friday night, Univision also finished as the #3 ranked broadcast network among Total Viewers 2+ (4.3 million); beating ABC and FOX.

 The top two programs on Friday night among Adults 18-34 were on Univision: #1 “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love)” and #2 “Eva Luna”.  Additionally, among Adults 18-49 Univision’s programs rounded out the Top 3 shows of the night with #2 “Eva Luna” and #3 “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love).

 “Eva Luna” made Univision the #2 broadcast network in the 8pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.4 million) and Women 18-34 (804,000); out-delivering ABC, CBS and NBC last week.  The novela also ranked #3 among Adults 18-49 (2.4 million) and Teens 12-17 (271,000) and #4 among and Total Viewers 2+  (4.8 million). 

 In the 9pm hour, “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love) helped Univision attain the #2 ranking among Adults 18-34 (1.4 million) and ranked #4 among Women 18-34 (799,000) and Teens 12-17(281,000).

 On Saturday night, “Sábado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the #3 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 (606,000) and ranked #4 among Adults 18-49 (1.2 million).

 Sunday night’s two-hour premiere of the 5th season of “Nuestra Belleza” (Our Latin Beauty) attracted 3.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.7 million Adults 18-49 and 923,000 Adults 18-34. 

This year’s premiere experienced double-digit increases compared to last year’s premiere on 3/14/10 among Total viewers 2+ (+26%), Adults 18-49 (+24%) and Adults 18-34 (+25%).

For the week, the premiere episode delivered more Adults 18-34 than some English-language programs such as CBS’ “The Good Wife,” “Hawaii 5-O” and “CSI;” ABC’s “V,” “Better With You,” and “Off The Map;” NBC’s “America’s Next Great Restaurant,” “Chuck” and “Law and Order: SVU” among others.
