Week 38: TeleFutura continues win streak over Telemundo

Last week, TeleFutura attracted 621,000 Total Viewers 2+, 375,000 Adults 18-49 and 197,000 Adults 18-34 during broadcast prime (Mon-Sat 8pm-11pm/Sun 7pm-11pm).


TeleFutura reported strong audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (621,000 vs. 465,000; +34%), Adults 18-49 (375,000 vs. 273,000; +37%) and Adults 18-34 (197,000 vs. 143,000; +38%)  compared to its previous week performance (05/30/11-06/05/11) during broadcast prime.

 In the current 2010/2011 Season, TeleFutura continues to hold more nightly wins over Telemundo during broadcast prime  versus the same period in the 2009/2010 Season among Adults 18-49 (74 nights vs. 63 nights) .

  On Tuesday, June 7, 2011, TeleFutura’s broadcast of the 2011 Copa Oro game between “USA and Canada” generated 940,000 Viewers 2+, 628,000 Adults 18-49 and 321,000 Adults 18-34  from 8pm-10pm.  In the time period, TeleFutura was the #2 Spanish-language network beating Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (TF 940,000 vs. TEL 843,000; +12% Adv.), Adults 18-49 (TF 628,000 vs. TEL 450,000; +40% Adv.) and Adults 18-34 (TF 321,000 vs. TEL 273,000; +18% Adv.).

 On Thursday, June 9, 2011, TeleFutura’s airing of the  2011 Copa Oro game between “Costa Rica and El Salvador” from 7:36pm-9:35pm attracted 1.3 million Viewers 2+, 851,000 Adults 18-49 and 453,000 Adults 18-34.  The game helped TeleFutura ranked as the #2 Spanish-language Network in the 7:30pm-9:30pm block out-performing Telemundo by impressive margins among Total Viewers 2+ (TF 1,339,000 vs. TEL 1,092,000; +23% Adv.), Adults 18-49 (TF 851,000 vs. TEL 582,000; +46% Adv.) and Adults 18-34 (TF 453,000 vs. TEL 367,000; +23% Adv.).

 During weekend broadcast prime, TeleFutura average more Total Viewers 2+ (TF 850,000 vs. TEL 749,000; +13% Adv.), Adults 18-49 (TF 483,000 vs. TEL 407,000; +19% Adv.) and Adults 18-34 (TF 261,000 vs. TEL 239,000; +9% Adv.) than Telemundo.

  On Saturday night (June 11, 2011) from 8pm-11pm, TeleFutura aired the 2011 Copa Oro “2011 Gold Cup” game “USA vs. Panama” followed by “Cine de las Estrellas: Las Reglas de la Calle” (“TKO”) , which out-delivered Telemundo’s entire primetime line up of “Cine de Impacto II: Demolition Man” and “Persiguiendo Injusticias” across key demographics that included Total Viewers 2+ (TF 976,000 vs. TEL 548,000; +78% Adv.), Adults 18-49 (TF 599,000 vs. TEL 330,000; +82% Adv.) and Adults 18-34 (TF 305,000 vs. TEL 216,000; +41% Adv.).

The “2011 Gold Cup” game “USA vs. Panama” alone averaged 1.1 million Viewers 2+, 698,000 Adults 18-49 and 347,000 Adults 18-34 from 8pm-10pm.  In the time period, TeleFutura enjoyed a strong margin over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (TF 1,113,000 vs. TEL 617,000; +80% Adv.) , Adults 18-49 (TF 698,000 vs. TEL 367,000; +90% Adv.) and Adults 18-34 (TF 347,000 vs. TEL 244,000; +42% Adv.).

On Sunday night (June 12, 2011), TeleFutura’s two-hour airing of “La Replica” (“REPLICANT”) as the featured film for “Cine De Las Estrellas” beat Telemundo’s “Cine Millonario: Jurassic Park III” among Adults 18-49 (TF 515,000 vs. TEL 509,000) and Adults 18-34 (TF 301,000 vs. TEL 288,000).
