Week 42: Univision goes in the books another gainer week

For the 3rd Consecutive Week, Univision is #1 Broadcast Network in the Country in Overall Prime Among ALL Adults 18-34. Univision Highlights – NPM Broadcast Prime Week of 07/05/10.


Univision finished as the #1 broadcast network in overall prime, for the third consecutive week, among Adults 18-34 (1.1 million).  Additionally, Univision ranked #3 among Adults 18-49 (1.9 million),  #1 network among Kids 2-11 (466,000) for the sixth consecutive week, #2 among Teens 12-17 (194,000) and #5 among and Total Viewers 2+ (3.5 million).

For the week, Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX every night among Adults 18-34, on 6 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49 and Teens 12-17 and on 5 out of 7 nights among Total Viewers 2+.

Univision had 10 of the Top 20 Programs among Adults 18-34 and 6 of the Top 20 among Adults 18-49; more top ranked programs for the week than any other network.

For the week, Univision saw increases when compared to the same week a year ago across Total Viewers 2+ (+9%), Adults 18-49 (+12%) , Adults 18-34 (+16%) and Adults 25-54 (+10%).

Based on the July sweep-to-date, Univision is the #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 (1.0 million) and ranks #2, behind FOX, among Adults 18-49 (1.7 million).  The network has seen an increase of +8% among A18-49 and +15% among Adults 18-34 versus the comparable days in the 2009 July Sweep.

On Friday night, Univision was the #1 ranked broadcast network in primetime among ALL Adults 18-49 (2.2 million), Adults 18-34 (1.3 million) and Teens 12-17 (258,000).  Among Total Viewers 2+ (4.0 million), Univision out-delivered FOX and CW, making it the #4 ranked network of the night.

The top two rated programs on Friday night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 were Univision’s #1 “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel) and #2 “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money).  Additionally, among Teens 12-17 Univision had the top 3 programs on Friday night with #1 “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel), #2 “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money).and #3“La Rosa De Guadalupe” (The Rose of Guadalupe) .
 
“Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money) made Univision the #1 broadcast network in the 8pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.5 million) for the sixth consecutive week.  Additionally, the novela helped Univision rank #1 among Women 18-34 (731,000) and #2 Adults 18-49 (2.4 million) and Teens 12-17 (236,000).

The favorite at 9pm was Univision’s “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel); making Univision the #1 broadcast network in the hour among Adults 18-49 (2.9 million), Adults 18-34 (1.7 million),  Women 18-49 (1.6 million) and Women 18-34 (887,000).  On a nightly basis the novela is one of the Top 5 programs of the night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
 
At 10pm, Univision’s checkerboard programming helped the network attain the #2 ranking among Adults 18-34 (891,000), Women 18-34 (491,000) and Teens 12-17 (193,000); out-delivering ABC and CBS in the hour.
 
“Sábado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the #2 ranked network on Saturday night among Adults 18-34 (570,000), Adults 18-49 (1.1 million) and Teens 12-17 (112,000), ranked #1 among Kids 2-11 (304,000) and ranked #4 among Total Viewers 2+.

On Sunday, Univision was the #4 ranked broadcast network for the night (7-11pm) among Adults 18-34 (537,000); beating ABC.

Univision’s Sunday night special presentation of “Joan Sebastian, Mi Historia” at 10-11p delivered 2.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 597,000 Adults 18-34 and 1.2 million Adults 18-49.  The special delivered more Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 then ABC’s “Scoundrels,” CBS “60 Minutes” and NBC’s “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”.
