Univision ranked #1 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights among Adults 18-34.


Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of July 11, 2011 to July 17, 2011.

Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network for the entire week among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC (+36%), NBC (+33%), and CBS (+51%).

Univision ranked #1 on Friday night among Adults 18-49 and for the 15th consecutive Friday among Adults 18-34 airing the #1 program for the night “Pequeños Gigantes.” The Friday telecast,  featuring special guests Lupita D’Alessio and “Teresa’s” Angelique Boyer, increased its average from its last Friday airing on 07/01/2011 and its preceding Sunday (07/10/2011) telecast. 

On Thursday night Univision ranked #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 beating FOX, ABC, NBC, and CBS; Univision also ranked #3 among Adults 18-49 that night.

On Saturday night following the Copa America Quarterfinals match, Univision’s “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) solidified Univision’s position as the #1 broadcast network for the night among Adults 18-34 (420,000) and #2 among Adults 18-49 (893,000) beating ABC, CBS, and NBC.

Univision was also the #4 broadcast network for the entire week in primetime among Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC (+3%)

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 Thus far in 2011, Univision continues to be the #3 broadcast network averaging more Adults 18-34 viewers than CBS (+9%) and NBC (+11%)

Season-to-Date, Univision continues to post year-to-year primetime audience increases among Adults 18-49 (+7%) while the English-language broadcast networks are reporting audience declines (ABC -8%, CBS -9%, NBC -11%, and FOX -6%); Univision’s audience also increased among Total Viewers 2+ (+6%) and Adults 18-34 (+6%).

From 9PM to 10PM, Univision’s novela “Triunfo del Amor” garnered the #2 spot for the network this past week among Adults 18-34 and #4 for the week among Adults 18-49.

Led by “Teresa”, Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network for the week from 8PM to 9PM among Adults 18-34 and ranked #4 among Adults 18-49.

Univision aired 6 of the top 20 programs among A18-34 this past week.

In the third week of Copa America 2011 coverage, Univision aired the tournament’s quarterfinals. Thus far in the tournament, Copa America is averaging 1.7 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1 Million Adults 18-49, and 525,000 Adults 18-34.

On Tuesday night the 1-0 Uruguay victory over Mexico averaged 3.7 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.1 Million Adults 18-49 and 1.1 Million Adults 18-34. This telecast ranked among the Top 10 most-watched programs Tuesday night by Adults 18-34 (#7 Rank) and Adult 18-49 (#4 Rank). 

On Saturday night, Univision aired the Argentina vs. Uruguay quarterfinal match at 6PM. This second quarterfinal match was the #1 program on Saturday night among Adults 18-34 and #4 among Adults 18-49. The matchup also helped Univision as the #1 Broadcast network for the night among Adults 19-34 and #2 that night among Adults 18-49

Wrapping up the quarterfinals at 6PM on Sunday night, Chile went head-to-head against Venezuela in hopes of advancing to the semi-finals.  The match averaged 1.9 Million Total Viewers 2+ and helped the network rank #2 among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

On Sunday night, Univision’s talent competition “Pequeños Gigantes” (Little Giants) was the third highest rated program among Adults 18-49 and fourth highest Adults 18-34. The talent competition solidified Univision’s place as the #2 broadcast network for the night among Adults 18-49 (2.3 Million) and Adults 18-34 (1.2 Million). The show was Univision’s  top show for the entire week among Adults 18-49 and saw double digit audience increases versus the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+22%), Adults 18-49 (+36%), and Adults 18-34 (+35%).
