Week 45: Univision has solid week, excellent Friday nights

Univision was the #2 broadcast network in primetime among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC, NBC and CBS. Pequeños Gigantes continues to be a top choice on Sunday nights, delivering its highest audience to date.


Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of July 25, 2011 to July 31, 2011

Univision was the #1 on Friday night for the 12th time in the last 21 weeks among Adults 18-49, and for the 17th consecutive Friday among Adults 18-34.

Univision aired the top two programs on Friday night among Adults 18-34 with #1 “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love) and #2 “Rosa de Guadaloupe.”

On Thursday night, Univision ranked as the #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 beating FOX, ABC, NBC, and CBS. In addition to airing the #2 (Triunfo del Amor) and #3 (Teresa) top ranked programs among Adults 18-34, Univision debuted “No Me Hallo” (Finding Myself) at 10PM. The Univision Studios production ranked among the top ten programs for the night as “No Me Hallo” averaged 2.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 688,000 Adults 18-34, and 1.2 million Adults 18-49.

On Saturday night, Univision’s “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) at 8PM drove Univision to the #1 position for the night among Adults 18-34 and ensured the #2 rank for the network among Adults 18-49.

During the summer months, Univision ranks as the #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 beating FOX (+7%), ABC (+2%), NBC (+24%), and CBS (+105%.) Univision also posts year-to year audience increases among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers 2+. 

On Sunday night, Univision’s talent competition “Pequeños Gigantes” (Little Giants) delivered its highest audience to-date among Total Viewers 2+ (5.1 Million), Adults 18-49 (2.8 Million), and Adults 18-34 (1.5 Million).

The Sunday airing was the fifth highest rated program for the entire week among Adults 18-34 and was among the top ten programs for Adults 18-49.

The program ranked #2 among Adults 18-49 and #3 among Adults 18-49 on Sunday night

The talent competition solidified Univision’s place as the #2 broadcast network for the night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

The Sunday July 31st telecast of “Pequeños Gigantes” posted double digit increases compared to its premiere among Total Viewers 2+ (+22%), Adults 18-49 (+25%), and Adults 18-34 (+26%).

Led by the success of Pequeños Gigantes, Univision was the #1 network among Kids 2-11 and Teens 12-17.

From 9PM to 10PM, Univision’s novela “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love) garnered the #1 spot for the network this past week among Adults 18-34 and #2 among Adults 18-49.

Led by “Teresa”, Univision ranked as the #1 broadcast network for the week from 8PM to 9PM among Adults 18-34 and ranked #2 among Adults 18-49.

Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network for the third consecutive week among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC (+36%), NBC (+60%), and CBS (+64%).

Univision also ranked as the #2 broadcast network among Adults 18-49 out-delivering ABC (+3%), NBC (+5%), and CBS (+9%) for the entire week.

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

Thus far in 2011, Univision continues to be the #3 broadcast network averaging more Adults 18-34 viewers than CBS (+12%) and NBC (+13%)

Season-to-Date, Univision continues to post year-to-year primetime audience increases among Adults 18-49 (+7%) while the English-language broadcast networks are reporting audience declines (ABC -7%, CBS -7%, NBC -10%, and FOX -5%); Univision’s audience also increased among Total Viewers 2+ (+6%) and Adults 18-34 (+4%).

Univision aired 6 of the top 20 programs among Adults 18-34 and 4 of the top 20 among Adults 18-49 this past week.

As one of the top ten programs Sunday night among Adults 18-34, Unvision’s 10PM airing of “Sal Y Pimienta” averaged 2.9 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.5 Million Adults 18-49 and 763,000 Adults 18-34.
