Univision was the #1 broadcast network in primetime among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC, FOX, NBC and CBS for the entire week.


Pequeños Gigantes continues to be a top choice on Sunday nights, catapulting Univision to the #1 position for the night.

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of August 1, 2011 to August 7, 2011.

Univision was the #1 broadcast network in primetime among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC (+30%), FOX (+10%), NBC (+75%), and CBS(+74%) for the entire week.

Univision ranked as the #3 broadcast network in prime this week among Adults 18-49, out-delivering NBC (+21%), and CBS (+3%). Univision has ranked #3 network or higher for the last 7 out of 12 weeks.

Univision was the #1 network on Friday night for the 13th time in the last 22 weeks among Adults 18-49, and for the 18th consecutive Friday among Adults 18-34.

Univision aired the top two programs on Friday night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 with #1 “Teresa” and #2 “Fuerza del Destino” (The Power of Destiny.)

Univision ranked as the #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 on Wednesday night beating FOX, ABC, NBC, and CBS. Univision’s entire prime line up ranked among the top ten among Adults 18-34 including the #1 program for the night, “Fuerza del Destino” and the #2 ranked “Teresa.”

On Thursday night, Univision ranked as the #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 beating FOX, ABC, NBC, and CBS. Univision aired the #2 (Teresa) and #3 (Fuerza del Destino) top ranked programs among Adults 18-34.

On Sunday night, Univision ranked as the #1 network among Adults 18-34. Audiences continue to tune in to Univision’s talent competition “Pequeños Gigantes” (Little Giants), the #2 program Sunday night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

The talent competition solidified Univision’s position as the #1 network among Adults 18-34 and #2 network among Adults 18-49.

Led by the continued success of Pequeños Gigantes, Univision was the #1 network among Kids 2-11 and #2 ranked among Teens 12-17 for the entire week. Furthermore, Pequeños Gigantes’ audience increased among those demos versus the prior week delivering +10% more Kids 2-11 and +5% Teens 12-17.

On Monday night Univision’s two-hour grand finale of its novela “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love) ranked as the #1 program for the entire week among Adults 18-34 out delivering all other programs including the season finale of ABC’s “The Bachelorette,” NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” and first run episodes of “Hell Kitchen” and “Master Chef” on FOX.

The novela finale attracted 5.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.9 million Adults 18-49, and 1.6 million Adults 18-34.  

The Monday night finale was the highest rated telecast in the novela’s full run among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, and Adults 18-34.

The 8PM to 10PM telecast made Univision the #1 network on Monday night among Adults 18-34 in the time period and #3 among Adults 18-49.

Following the novela finale, Unvision’s “Don Fransisco Presenta” featured interviews with the “Triunfo del Amor” cast and finished the night as the #6 program among Adults 18-34 and #7 among Adults 18-49.

Led by “Teresa”, Univision ranked as the #1 broadcast network for the week from 8PM to 9PM among Adults 18-34 and ranked #3 among Adults 18-49.

During the summer months, Univision ranks as the #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 beating FOX (+7%), ABC (+4%), NBC (+27%), and CBS (+101%.) Univision also posts year-to year audience increases among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers 2+. 

On Tuesday night Univision premiered it newest novela at 9PM, “La Fuerza del Destino” (The Power of Destiny) averaging 4.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.3 million Adults 18-49, and 1.2 million Adults 18-34. 

The premiere ranked as the #5 program for the night among Adults 18-34 out delivering ABC’s entire line-up.

Helped Univision rank as the #3 network from 9PM to 10PM among Adults 18-34 and #4 among Adults 18-49.

Following the Monday finale of “Triunfo del Amor,” this week’s premiere of “La Fuerza del Destino” secured the #1 rank for Univision during the 9PM to 10PM time period this week among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

On Saturday night, Univision’s “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) at 8PM positioned Univision as the #3 network  for the night among Adults 18-34.

Univision out-delivered two or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among Adults 18-34. Univision also out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks on 6 out of 7 nights last week among Adults 18-49.

Thus far in 2011, Univision continues to be the #3 broadcast network averaging more Adults 18-34 viewers than CBS (+13%) and NBC (+15%).

Season-to-Date, Univision continues to post year-to-year primetime audience increases among Adults 18-49 (+7%) while the English-language broadcast networks are reporting audience declines (ABC -8%, CBS -8%, NBC -11%, and FOX -5%); Univision’s audience also increased among Total Viewers 2+ (+6%) and Adults 18-34 (+4%).

Univision aired 8 of the top 20 programs among Adults 18-34 and 5 of the top 20 among Adults 18-49 this past week.

As one of the top ten programs Sunday night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, Unvision’s  10PM airing of “Sal Y Pimienta” averaged  3.2 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.5 Million Adults 18-49 and 675,000 Adults 18-34.
