Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of August 8, 2011 to August 14, 2011

Univision was the #2 broadcast network in primetime among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC (+33%), NBC (+77%), and CBS (+49%) for the entire week.

Univision ranked as the #3 broadcast network in prime for the second consecutive week among Adults 18-49, out-delivering NBC (+16%), and ABC (+1%). Univision has ranked #3 network or higher for the last 8 out of 12 weeks.

Univision was the #1 network on Friday night for the 19th consecutive Friday among Adults 18-34.

Univision’s entire prime line up ranked among the top five programs among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 including the #1 program for the night, “Fuerza del Destino” (The Power of Destiny,)  #3 ranked “Teresa,” and #4 ranked “Rosa de Guadalupe.”

Univision was the also the #2 network for the night among Adults 18-49.

Airing the highly anticipated friendly match between the USA and Mexico Mens National Teams, Univision ranked as the #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 on Wednesday night beating FOX, ABC, NBC, and CBS.

9.4 Million Total Viewers 2+ tuned into all or part of Wednesday night’s match.

 The Eternos Rivales friendly match ranked as the #1 program for the night among Adults 18-34 and was the #2 program for the entire week among Adults 18-34.

The friendly match was also the #3 program for the night among Adults 18-49

On Thursday night, Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 beating ABC, NBC, and CBS. Univision aired the #2 (Teresa) and #4 (Fuerza del Destino) top ranked programs among Adults 18-34.

On Sunday night, Univision ranked as the #2 network among Adults 18-34. Audiences continue to tune in to Univision’s talent competition “Pequeños Gigantes” (Little Giants), the #2 program Sunday night among Adults 18-34 and the #4 program among Adults 18-49.

The talent competition solidified Univision’s position as the #2 network among Adults 18-34 and #3 network among Adults 18-49.

Led by the continued success of Pequeños Gigantes, Univision was the #1 network among Kids 2-11 and #2 ranked among Teens 12-17 for the entire week.
 
Led by “Teresa”, Univision ranked as the #1 broadcast network for the week from 8PM to 9PM among Adults 18-34 and ranked #3 among Adults 18-49.
From 9PM to 10PM airing “Fuerza del Destino,” Univision ranked as the #1 broadcast network for the week for the hour among Adults 18-34 and ranked #2 among Adults 18-49.

During the summer months, Univision ranks as the #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 beating FOX (+5%), ABC (+7%), NBC (+30%), and CBS (+95%.) Univision also posts year-to year audience increases among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers 2+. 

On Saturday night, Univision’s “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) at 8PM positioned Univision as the #3 network  for the night among Adults 18-34.

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among Adults 18-34 and on 6 out of 7 nights last week among Adults 18-49.

Thus far in 2011, Univision continues to be the #3 broadcast network averaging more Adults 18-34 viewers than CBS (+14%) and NBC (+16%)

Season-to-Date, Univision continues to post year-to-year primetime audience increases among Adults 18-49 (+4%) while the English-language broadcast networks are reporting audience declines (ABC -12%, CBS -12%, NBC -12%, and FOX -8%); Univision’s audience also increased among Total Viewers 2+ (+6%) and Adults 18-34 (+7%).

Univision aired 7 of the top 20 programs among Adults 18-34 this past week.
