Week 51: Univision #3 in overall primetime adults 18-49

Last week, Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX every night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34; on 6 out of 7 nights among Teens 12-17; and on 5 out of 7 nights among Total Viewers 2+.

Univision finished the week as the #3 broadcast network in overall primetime among Adults 18-49 (2.1 million) and Adults 18-34 (1.2 million); ranked #2 among Kids 2-11 (482,000) and #5 among Total Viewers 2+ (3.8 million).
 
For the week, Univision delivered 11 of the Top 30 programs in overall primetime among Adults 18-34 and 9 of the Top 30 programs among Adults 18-49.
 
Univision’s primetime audience saw growth versus the same week a year ago across Total Viewers 2+ (+11%), Adults 18-49 (+19%), Adults 18-34 (+20%) and Adults 25-54 (+13%).

Univision was the #1 broadcast network on three nights, Monday (1.4 million), Tuesday (1.5 million) and Friday (1.3 million), among Adults 18-34.

Univision ranked as the #1 most-watched broadcast network among Adults 18-49 on Monday (2.4 million) and Friday (2.2 million) night.

On Monday night, Univision had the top two programs of the night among Adults 18-34 with #1 Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel) and #2 “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money).

Friday night’s top three programs among Adults 18-34 were Univision’s #1 “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel), #2 “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money) and #3 “La Rosa De Guadalupe” (The Rose of Guadalupe).  Additionally, among Adults 18-49 Univision had the two-most watched programs of the night with #1 “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel) and #2 “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money).
 
Tuesday night’s special “Mexico vs. Colombia” soccer game, generated nearly 3.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.6 million Adults 18-49, 1.6 million Adults 18-34, 1.1 million Men 18-34, 516,000 Women 18-34, 1.7 million Men 18-49, nearly 900,000 Women 18-49 and 1.7 million Persons 12-34.  Additionally, the soccer match was the #1 most-watched program on Tuesday night among all Men 18-34 and among Men 18-49 ranked #4.

Currently, the “Mexico vs. Colombia” game is the highest-rated sports event telecast on Spanish-language Television thus far in the 2009/2010 Season among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, excluding all of the 2010 World Cup airings.
 
Thursday night (10-11pm) saw the finale of Univision’s reality show “Desafio: La Gran Batalla” averaging  2.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.5 million Adults 18-49, 849,000 Adults 18-34 and nearly 1.0 million Persons 12-34; marking the program’s highest-ranked telecast in its full-run.

“Desafio: La Gran Batalla” finale on Thursday made Univision the #2 most-watched broadcast network in the 10pm hour among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34; beating ABCand CBS.

Univision’s highly awaited Sunday night reality dance competition, “¡Mira Quién Baila!” (Look Who’s Dancing!), had a stellar debut averaging nearly 4.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.1 million Adults 18-49, 1.0 million Adults 18-34 and 1.2 million Persons 12-34.

“¡Mira Quién Baila!” (Look Who’s Dancing!) helped position Univision as the #3 broadcast network on a highly competitive night, beating ABC and CBS among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Men 18-49, Men and Women 18-34, and Persons 12-34.
