Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of September 5, 2011 to September 11, 2011

Univision was the #2 broadcast network in primetime among Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC, FOX, and CBS. Univision also ranked #2 among Adults 18-34 surpassing ABC (+81%), FOX (+18%), and CBS (+72%) by double digit margins.

Thus far in 2011, Univision is positioned as the #2 broadcast network averaging more Adults 18-34 viewers than ABC (+2%), CBS (+18%), and NBC (+14%).

Season-to-Date, Univision continues to post year-to-year primetime audience increases among Adults 18-49 (+6%) while the English-language broadcast networks are reporting audience declines (ABC -8%, CBS -8%, NBC -10%, and FOX -6%); Univision’s audience also increased among Total Viewers 2+ (+5%) and Adults 18-34 (+4%).

Univision has ranked as the #3 network or higher for 11 of the last 16 weeks among Adults 18-49.

Univision was the #1 network on four out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34.

Univision out-delivered two or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on five out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-49.
Univision aired 9 of the top 20 programs this past week among Adults 18-34 and 6 of the top 20 programs among Adults 18-49.

Led by “Fuerza del Destino,” Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network for the week from 9PM to 10PM among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

From 8PM to 9PM airing “Teresa”, Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network for the week among Adults 18-34 and ranked #3 among Adults 18-49.

On Monday night, the three hour finale of Univision’s talent competition “Pequeños Gigantes” secured the #1 position for the network among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, and Adults 18-34, Teens 12-17 and Kids 2-11.

The finale was the #1 program on all of broadcast television for the night among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-34, and Kids 2-11. Among Adults 18-49, “Pequeños Gigantes” ranked as the #2 program delivering more viewers on Monday night than the first run episode of ABC’s “Bachelor Pad.”

Monday night’s “Pequeños Gigantes” is the highest-rated reality show finale of all-time on Spanish-language Television among Total Viewers 2+ and the 2nd highest among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Kids 2-11 and Teens 12-17.

The show delivered its largest audience in the competition’s full run among Total Viewers 2+ (6.2 million), Adults 18-49 (3.3 million), and Adults 18-34 (1.9 million).

The finale ranks among the top 10 broadcast programs for the entire week among Adults 18-49 (#10) and Adults 18-34 (#6).

Univision was the #1 network for the second consecutive Friday among Adults 18-49 and for the 5th consecutive Friday night among Adults 18-34.

Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked as the top 3 programs for the night among Adults 18-34 including the #1 program for the night, “Fuerza del Destino,” #2 ranked “Teresa,” and #3 ranked Rosa de Guadalupe. 

Univision’s programming also ranked among the top 4 programs for the night among Adults 18-49 including the #1 program “Fuerza del Destino.”

On Sunday night Univision broadcasted the highly-anticipated second season premiere of “¡Mira Quién Baila!” helping the network rank #4 for the night among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

Compared to the first season premiere, Sunday night’s broadcast delivered ratings growth among Total Viewers 2+ (4.1 million, +3%), Adults 18-49 (2.2 million, +7%), and Adults 18-34 (1.1 million, +7%).

The second season premiere of “¡Mira Quién Baila!” ranked within the Top 5 reality show premieres of all-time on the Univision Network among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49.

The telecast also delivered more Adult 18-49 and Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “Sunday 20/20: Sixth Sense” and “20/20;” CBS’ “60 Minutes;” and FOX’s “In The Flow With Affion Crockett”

On Tuesday night, Univision ranked as the #1 network among Adults 18-34 and #2 among Adults 18-49. Univision’s entire lineup ranked among the top ten programs among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 including “Fuerza del Destino,” “Teresa,” and “Aqui y Ahora.”

On Saturday night airing “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday,) Univision was the #2 network among Adults 18-34. “Sabado Gigante” was also the #2 program for the night among Adults 18-34 and #6 among Adults 18-49.
