Week 7: Univision solid growth, Friday night sees strong demos

Univision The #1 Broadcast Network On Friday Night In Overall Primetime Among ALL Adults 18-34 Thus Far In the 2010 November Sweep.
 
Univision Highlights – NPM Broadcast Prime Week of 11/01/10:


•       For the second Friday in the 2010 November Sweep, Univision was the #1 most-watched broadcast network in primetime among Adults 18-34 (1.2 million) and Teens 12-17 (207,000), and ranked #2, behind CBS, among Adults 18-49 (2.1 million).
 
•       On Friday night, the Top 3 broadcast programs among Adults 18-34 in overall prime were Univision’s #1 “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel), #2 “La Rosa De Guadalupe” (The Rose of Guadalupe) and #3 “Eva Luna”.  Additionally, among Adults 18-49 Univision’s “Soy Tu Dueña was the #1 broadcast program of the night.
 
•       Last week, Univision was the #5 ranked broadcast network in overall primetime among Total Viewers 2+ (3.6 million), Adults 18-49 (1.9 million) and Adults 18-34(1.0 million); beating CW.  Additionally, Univision was the clear choice among Kids 2-11 (451,000) as the #1 broadcast network in primetime out-delivering its closest competitor, FOX, by +13%.
 
•        In primetime Univision delivered +22% more young Adults 18-34 (1.0 million) than the CW last week.
 
•        Last week, Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX on 6 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-34, on 3 out of 7 nights among Teens 12-17, and on 2 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers 2+.
 
•        For the week, Univision had 4 of the Top 30 primetime broadcast shows among Adults 18-34.
 
•        Last Tuesday, on Election Night Univision was the #2 ranked broadcast network in overall primetime, behind ABC, among Adults 18-34 (990,000).
 
•       Univision’s much awaited novela production “Eva Luna” made its debut in the M-F/8-9pm hour with an average audience of 3.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.8 million Adults 18-49 and 1.0 million Adults 18-34 in its first week.  The novela helped Univision capture the #4 ranking in the M-F/8-9pm hour among Adults 18-34; beating NBC and CW.
 
•       For the week, “Soy Tu Dueña’s” (Woman of Steel) made Univision the #2 ranked broadcast network in the 9pm hour, behind ABC, among Adults 18-34 (1.7 million) and Women 18-34 (847,000).  The novela’s popularity also made it the #1 broadcast program among Adults 18-34 on three nights, Tuesday (1.6 million), Wednesday (1.8 million) and Friday (1.5 million).
 
•        In the M-F/10pm hour, Univision obtained the #3 position in the hour among Adults 18-34 (940,000) and Teens 12-17 (173,000) thanks to its checkerboard programming; beating NBC by +8% and +50%, respectively.
 
•        This past Sunday, “Mira Quien Baila” (Look Who’s Dancing!) generated its highest telecast performance since premiering on 09/12/10 among Total Viewers 2+ (4.1 million) and the second-highest telecast among Adults 18-49 (2.2 million) and Adults 18-34 (1.0 million).  The dance competition also experienced impressive week to week audience increases among Total Viewers 2+ (+19%), Adults 18-49 (+24%) and Adults 18-34 (+23%).
