Week May 10th: ‘Good Morning America’ posts best total viewers


“GMA” is Only Morning Show to Gain Total Viewers Versus Last Year — ABC Program Also Posts Best Total Viewer Numbers in Two Months.

“GMA” Posts Smallest Weekly Total Viewing Gap with NBC in Almost Two Year – Cuts the Total Viewing Gap with NBC by 53% Year to Year and 37% Week to Week. 

“GMA” Extends its Demo and Total Viewing Advantages Over CBS Year to Year.
For the week of May 10th, ABC’s “Good Morning America” averaged 4.530 million Total Viewers and a 1.4/10 among Adults 25-54. This was the show’s best Total Viewer delivery since the week of 3/8/10. “GMA” was the only morning show to experience Total Viewer growth (+5%) versus last year. 

Once again, “GMA” reduced NBC’s “Today” Total Viewing lead, posting the smallest weekly gap between the two programs in nearly two years (week of 7/14/08).  GMA shrank the gap by -37% vs. the prior week and by -53% year to year.  
In addition, “GMA” expanded its demo (700,000) and Total Viewing (1,950,000) advantages over CBS’ “Early Show” year to year (A25-54: +8% Total Viewers: +34%).
The Emmy Award-winning morning news program, featuring the anchor team of Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Sam Champion and Juju Chang, airs live Monday through Friday from 7:00-9:00 a.m., ET on the ABC Television Network. Jim Murphy is the senior executive producer and Tom Cibrowski is the executive producer of ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

Due to a special report that aired Monday 5/10/10, “GMA” was interrupted for 22 minutes during the 1st hour on the West Coast & during the 2nd hour in Mountain causing GMA to have a shorter duration of 63 minutes.
