WGAN Rush protest gets big attention (audio)

1

Rush LimbaughThe recent news that protestors showed up at Portland Radio’s WGAN-AM Portland 3/8 with 5,000+ signatures on a petition calling for the station to drop Rush over the Sandra Fluke comments has led TV news and was front page in the state’s largest newspaper almost every day last week. However, Cary Pahigian, President/GM of Portland Radio tells RBR-TVBR most of the anti-Rush Limbaugh protesters a) don’t listen to the station and b) don’t live in Portland, Maine.

He did have them on the air, nonetheless, and it has done some great things for the station. Pahigian also said that none of the people involved in the petition communicated to him or the station previous to the petition or protest.

  1. Interesting…I sent emails to just about any staff person at WGAN and will be in contact as to how to protest even more! This station is SO male dominated…with an OBVIOUS conservative listening audience (wonder why???).
