He did not say why. Rather, in remarks made at the CTIA show in Las Vegas, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler went off on a tangent to the effect that broadcasters have been misled about the level of demand for their repurposed spectrum.
Wheeler said that the NAB’s challenge of FCC’s approach to the incentive auctions was groundless, and despite NAB’s claim to the contrary, would simply delay the entire project.
