Wheeler Seeks Lawmaker’s Help to Combat Pirates


pirateskullPirate radio became a symbol of what’s working, and what isn’t at the FCC as lawmakers quizzed commissioners during the fourth such hearing this year before the House Communications and Technology Subcommittee.

Subcommittee Chairman Greg Walden (R-Ore.) praised the agency for reducing its backlog, however he said he’s distressed to hear “about the somewhat bitter divisions” among the commissioners.

Pirate radio became a flash point a couple of times.
