A 25-year media veteran who most recently served as Regional Sales Manager at Titan Broadcasting’s unaffiliated KUBE-57 in Houston and, before that, was the VP/Sales for CBS Radio’s Houston station group is heading east on I-10 to a new job in the Big Easy.

Effective May 29, Steve McNair will serve as New Orleans Market President for iHeart Media.

He’ll oversee WQUE-FM, WRNO-FM, WYLD-AM & FM, the FM translator housing “Throwback 96.3,” WNOE-FM, KVDU-FM, and 1280 WODT-AM.

McNair will also oversee a station group that’s responsible for the production of such events as Sista Strut, Wine On The River, Welcome Affair and Lil Weezyana Fest.

He’ll work closely with the programming, marketing and sales teams for radio station brands in New Orleans to oversee on-air and digital programming as well as create new business and revenue opportunities.

McNail will report to Michael Hudson, the newly appointed Area President for iHeartMedia Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

“Steve is the perfect leader for iHeartMedia New Orleans,” said Hudson. “With him at the helm, I have no doubt that our already talented New Orleans team and brands will grow to new heights.”

Eddie Martiny, President for iHeartMedia’s Houston Region, which includes the New Orleans and Baton Rouge markets, added, “I’ve had the good fortune of working with both Steve and Michael in the past. I trust them both implicitly and know our New Orleans market is in great hands.”

McNair is not new to iHeart. Before joining CBS Radio, he held sales management roles at iHeart Radio/Houston and served as an executive coach for iHeartMedia management across the United States.

“I am beyond excited to return to iHeartMedia and my hometown of New Orleans,” said McNair. “I’m joining a great group of people and can’t wait to get started.”
