WideOrbit, provider of business management software for media companies, announced record license renewals for its sales, traffic and billing solution, WO Traffic. Since the official release of the product in May 2003, nearly 100% of WideOrbit customers have renewed their licenses for WO Traffic.

WideOrbit attributes its customer loyalty to three main factors:
1. WideOrbit delivers superior solutions that are designed by experienced media professionals. WideOrbit’s staff has more than 2760 collective years of broadcast industry experience that includes TV, Radio and Cable Networks-an average of 17 years per employee. This vast knowledgebase enables WideOrbit to design advanced solutions that are tailor-made for broadcasters and how they do business. It also provides clients with account managers, support staff, and implementation and training specialists who are industry veterans that understand their business from the inside out.

2. WideOrbit has a steadfast commitment to reinvestment in core products and support. To date, WideOrbit has invested more than $70 million in product development and support and will spend another $20 million this year. As the industry rapidly changes and evolves with new mediums and technology, WideOrbit continues to advance its technology and solutions to meet these ever increasing demands and keep its customers ahead of the curve.

3. WideOrbit is committed to providing outstanding customer service and support. In an economy where WideOrbit’s competitors have gone through significant layoffs and downsizing, and have outsourced support to offshore, third-party service centers, WideOrbit has increased its in-house support staff by 25% since January 1, 2010. WO Traffic clients consistently deliver high satisfaction ratings to WideOrbit’s Customer Support, Implementation and Professional Services.

“In this business and in this economy, you can’t rest on your laurels,” said Eric Mathewson, WideOrbit Founder/CEO. “We work extremely hard to keep our clients happy by providing them with the best solutions in the industry backed by phenomenal service and support. And our clients rely on us to stay several steps ahead of technology and industry trends to ensure that we’re always equipped to help facilitate and support their growth.”

WideOrbit typically contracts with clients for five years and currently has more than 1,500 stations live on WO Traffic. Customers who have renewed their WO Traffic licenses in the first half of this year include Capitol Broadcasting Company, Fisher Communications, Hearst Television, Journal Broadcast Group, Morgan Murphy Media, NBC Universal, Northwest Broadcasting and Post-Newsweek Stations, Inc.
